I am currently a research scientist at Spotify on the MIQ Team. I finished my PhD in Music Technology working with Prof. Juan P. Bello in the Music and Audio Research Laboratory (MARL) at New York University.
My research interests focus on machine learning and signal processing for music and general audio. During my PhD, I have worked on building adaptive and interactive machine listening systems with minimal supervision using techniques such as few-shot learning and active learning. I enjoy playing guitar, producing music, and sound engineering. Before joining MARL, I was in the Music Recording and Production program at Institute of Audio Research. I hold two master's degrees in Materials Science & Engineering from both Massachusetts Institute of Technology and National Taiwan University (NTU), and a bachelor's degree in Physics from NTU. Japanese math rock is my current favorite music genre. 🤘 |
